Lake Arrowhead, CA – February 13, 2012 – An unnamed California Repo Man was stabbed five times in the back , wrist and arm as he reportedly attempted to repossess a vehicle from a fraud perpetrator who also attempted to run him over.
Three days after the repo man was stabbed as he attempted to repossess a car in the San Bernardino Mountains, deputies are still seeking the 47-year-old woman they say committed the crime.
“The suspect had bought the vehicle using fraudulent information, and the victim was working as a repossession agent for the dealer,” investigators say in a written statement about the noon violence outside a post office in the Lake Arrowhead-area community of Cedar Glen.
During the argument, investigators said Johnson grabbed a knife from the vehicle and stabbed the victim about five times in the back, wrist and arm. As she fled Johnson rammed the Subaru into the victim’s truck several times and tried to hit the victim, officials said. She has not been seen since.
The victim was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center and is expected to survive.
Deputies and the California Highway Patrol searched for Johnson but did not find her or her car.
The car is a black 2008 four-door Subaru Impreza with collision damage in the back. The license plate number is 6JTR982.
