Police Make Arrests in Repo Man Carjacking

Upland, CA – September 25, 2012 – Two Upland men face possible charges of carjacking as the result of their alleged armed confrontation with a Repo Man.

According to Upland Police, Roman Landero, 36, of Upland and 18-year-old Jose Giron of Rancho Cucamonga confronted a Repo Man during the attempted repossession of Landero’s Chevy Suburban at 10PM at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of West Seventh Street.

Reportedly, one of them pointed a gun at him and forced him to drop the Suburban from the tow truck.

According to Police, Landero took the car back and drove away. When Police arrived they found him in the vehicle nearby.

Although officers were unable to find the gun used in the robbery, Landero and Giron were booked in jail on suspicion of carjacking.
