Dallas, TX – Mach 22, 2012 – I had just checked in at the Omni Mandalay in Las Colinas for the North American Repossessors Summit (NARS) when I received an email. The Huffington Post had just published an article about the state of the repossession industry titled “Repos Gone Bad: Are Big Lenders To Blame for Driveway Violence?” Having been one of many interviewed by Dave Jamieson, I confess some apprehension in what was to be published. Upon reading it several times, I felt that for the most, he got it right.
Consolidated Asset Recovery Systems launched a new open-source, freeware version of its IBEAM Web portal to the agent and lender community.
The company highlighted this new version of IBEAM — available after April 15 — will be specific to repossession and invoice management, providing all the capabilities of asset tracking, real-time monitoring of updates, online condition reports and complete transparency throughout the recovery process.
The board of NFA regrets to inform that the Q&A with Mr. Rumbarger that was scheduled for Friday, March 23rd, 2012 has been canceled. The President of ARA notified NFA’s Executive Director on March 12th, 2012 that the Omni Hotel would not honor our meeting space due to a conflict of interest clause in the ARA/NARS contract.
