It is this writer’s honor to serve the members of PBUS and to be a part of an association that fosters the development and viability of its members. Great speakers, relevant topics, and current information came together fluidly in a venue primed for productive networking and fellowship. The event was refreshingly free of the politics that have plagued and crippled other organizations. The cohesive efforts of the leadership of PBUS should provide a blueprint for all industry organizations that are truly invested in the success and the professionalism of their members.
In our second installment of our annual survey, we found a negative shift in the attitudes toward repossession associations and LPR. It appears as though some patience is running out with both the associations as well as the LPR providers. At the same time, the hope of unity and the value of training seem to growing.
In our second annual survey, even more of you spoke up, and what we found was sometimes similar to last year, but still often surprising. This is the first part of several releases of the survey, which covers topics such as Company Trends, Contingency Assignments, Associations, ALPR, Forwarding and Violence in the industry.

We are pleased to announce the formation of CASA (Certified Agents Specialist Association). CASA has been created by industry leaders to provide educational and networking opportunities for Repossession Companies, Lenders and Repossession Vendors nationwide to enhance their business practices.
The National Finance Adjusters (NFA) has a new management team helping NFA members excel in the new economy. Robert Spangler of Denver, Colorado was named Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors. He brings with him NFA’s new Membership Services Director, Vicki Schrock, also in Denver. Both are excited to be working with Helen Mullaney (Momma Helen) of the Baltimore office as she continues her outstanding service to NFA.
