Petersburg, VA – 23 April 2017 – The Petersburg Assistant Fire Marshal is speaking out after he was arrested at his home Friday and charged with shooting at two repo men. Marlow Jones faces two misdemeanors after the repo company said he pointed a gun at them to make them leave. Jones is challenging that claim and the reason they showed up to his door in the first place.

Prison Term of Repo Man Killer Reduced

Fauquier County, VA – 28 February, 2017 – The Virginia Court of Appeals today reversed a portion of the conviction of a Marshall man who shot and killed 23 year old Junior Jordan Montero while he was repossessing his car in June 2014.

Carroll Edward “Tootie” Gregg, 55, of Marshall, was found guilty of two involuntary manslaughter charges, one statutory and one common law, after a five-day jury trial in September 2015.

Repo Man Shot During Alleged Garage Break In

Lake Havasu City , AZ – 10 February 2017 – Lake Havasu City Police are investigating a shooting in the 2400 block of North Rainbow Avenue that sent two men to the hospital Thursday with non-life threatening injuries. At 2:18 a.m. a female in the residence called police to report there were people attempting to break into the home and access a motorcycle. Detective Sgt. Chad Williams said police believe the men were there to repossess the motorcycle when the male homeowner entered the attached garage armed with a rifle and opened fire.

Debtors Son Arrested for Firing Shots at Repossessor

e_cllns_sprtnbrgSpartanburg, SC – 4 January 2017 – Spartanburg County deputies said a man was arrested Tuesday night after firing a gun at a tow truck that was repossessing a vehicle.

Deputies said they were called to an incident on Harrelson Road just before 11 p.m.

According to investigative reports, the tow truck was called to haul off after a woman had failed to make payments on it. The woman’s husband and sons attempted to take items from the car before it was hauled away and told deputies they had not taken all of their personal items from the car when the tow truck driver began leaving.

CA Repo Man Takes Fire in Desert

gun_freBarstow, CA – 8 December 2016 – A Repo Man was shot at when attempting to repossess a Nissan Sentra on Tuesday night. At around 10:06 p.m. Barstow police responded to the report of a shooting in the 300 block of Date Street. When they responded they learned that the victim, an employee from a repossessing company drove to the location to repossess the vehicle  While he attempted to take the vehicle, the registered owner, John Utley, 63, exited his home with a handgun and began shooting at the employee.
