Bath, PA – 7 August 2017 – A 24-year-old Bath man is in Northampton County Prison after firing shots Monday when a man was repossessing a vehicle, Colonial Regional police report.
“We got a call of individuals fighting in the Five Points area,” Alexander City Police Captain Mario Hodge said. “As we were responding, they left the scene with one vehicle chasing the other.”
Detroit, MI – 17 July 2017 – A repo man said when he pulled up to repossess a vehicle in Detroit, he had no choice to but to shoot a family’s dog that he says was ready to attack. But the owner of the dog says that’s not true – from the back of a police car.
Ginger Leigh Westmoreland, 57, is facing aggravated assault charges after she grabbed a gun and shot a repo man’s tire on Monday morning, according to a police report.
Philadelphia, PA – 9 June 2017 – Johnny Fischer was walking his two dogs in their Point Breeze neighborhood Friday morning when a shootout erupted between a tow-truck driver and another man, killing the second man.
“I was across the street, dove out of the way, tried to hide behind a stoop,” he said. His two dogs were injured, one from ricocheting bullets.
Police said the tow-truck driver was trying to repossess a silver Toyota Sienna minivan in the parking lot of the Santana Food Market at 18th and Dickinson Streets when the altercation broke out with a friend of the van’s owner. The tow-truck driver fatally shot the 32-year-old man about 10:20 a.m., police said.
