Hobby Lobby Repo Standoff Ends After Five Hours

Officers attempt to convince borrower to leave the vehicle during standoff.

Lanham, MD – On Friday, September 15th, 2017 at approximately 1:45 p.m. SIA Towing of Lanham MD, attempted to repossess a vehicle. SIA towing received repossession paperwork. Tow truck driver Toby was dispatched to the Hobby Lobby parking lot, after GPS tracking had located the vehicle. Toby located the Lexus in the parking lot, and lifted the car onto his tow truck. While attempting to secure the vehicle, an unidentified driver made contact with Toby.

The Lexus driver requested to get “some personal items” out of the vehicle, and Toby allowed her to enter the car. Once in the Lexus, the driver refused to exit the vehicle.

TexasARP Announces it’s Own State Repossessor Association

For Immediate Release

September 5th 2017 – Stephanie Findley of I.R. Services, Sugar Land TX, has started the first Texas State Association “Texas Accredited Repossession Professionals” (TexasARP).

The goal of the association is to educate the Texas repossession agency owners and employees on the laws of the state and the policies in place for each county, provide towing and safety training to its members and to work with and educate clients and law enforcement. In time as the association grows Stephanie plans to work with the Texas TDLR.

We’ve been getting a lot of laughs lately, as well as some copies of cancellation letters being sent to lenders and forwarders over their ludicrous demands. If you work for Santander/Chrysler you should have already received their latest demand for CARS Certification. While we strongly support the CARS program created by the respected industry veterans, Joe Taylor and Stamatis Ferrolis and RISC, we find the Santander/Chryslers demands almost laughable considering they demand their agents partake in the obviously dangerous practice of contingent assignments.

Two Repo Men Arrested After Alleged Assault and Chase

Alexander City, AL – 3 August 2017 – An attempt to repossess an automobile led to a fight and a police chase with the two individuals from the repo-vehicle being arrested.

“We got a call of individuals fighting in the Five Points area,” Alexander City Police Captain Mario Hodge said. “As we were responding, they left the scene with one vehicle chasing the other.”
