Luke K. Smith, President of MVTRAC, LLC, has been nominated by the Illinois chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a candidate for their prestigious Man & Woman of the Year fundraising competition. This 10-week event that occurs in over 80 cities across the United States is designed for one purpose: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Collectively as an industry, we have a great opportunity to directly impact lives today and contribute significantly towards the cure for blood cancer and blood cancer related illnesses by making a donation to Luke’s fundraising campaign for Man & Woman of the Year. Every dollar you contribute towards the campaign is allocated towards research, patient services, education and/or advocacy.
Over the years, support from compassionate people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Furthermore, many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers! All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. To help cure blood cancer today, please visit Luke’s website (http://www.mwoy.org/ pages/il/chicago15/lsmith) early and often. Also, please be sure to share this information with your friends and family so that we may all collectively cure cancer together!
