NARS Becomes First Industry Event to Feature the CFPB

PRESS RELEASE

IRVING, Texas – Feb. 6, 2014 – The North American Repossessors Summit (NARS), an industry event hosted by the American Recovery Association, Inc. (ARA) and Time Finance Adjusters (TFA), is proud to announce that a member from the southwest region of the CFPB is scheduled to speak at the sixth annual event, to be held March 20-22, 2014. This is the first time a CFPB representative will serve as a key speaker at a recovery and remarketing industry event. In his own words, the representative will explain any misconceptions regarding the CFPB’s involvement within the recovery industry. It will be a very informative and empowering session.

Due to time constraints, the CFPB speaker may not be able to take questions after his presentation. However, attendees may submit their questions for the CFPB representative to address, in advance, by emailing nars@reposummit.com.

In addition to the CFPB, there will be many influential speakers at this year’s NARS. Bogdan Rentea, founder of Rentea & Associates, will provide legal insight into how to protect your destiny within the repossession industry. Financial and business expert and author, Greg Crabtree, will discuss how to transform your business into one with big profits. Doug Duncan, President of TalentValue, will provide valuable HR compliance information on how to protect your assets. Paul Kulas, founder of Belles Camp Communications, will discuss the importance of privacy.

There will also be two powerful panel discussions on Thursday at the summit – one that will address the controversial and tough topic of how to say no to clients who dictate standards and policies, and the other that will focus on how to increase profits through technology. Both panels will feature representatives from various recovery associations to showcase the need for industry compliance.

“As many outside forces continue to impact the recovery and remarketing industry, it’s now more important than ever to reclaim our industry,” said Jim Hall, president of the American Recovery Association. “As NARS continues to grow in attendance and feature speakers such as the CFPB, it enables our industry to unify and stand together.

NARS’s 2014 theme, Reclaim Your Industry, will provide attendees a chance to unify and stand together to revive industry standards. The NARS 2014 Planning Committee is currently working to secure additional speakers who can share their knowledge and experience based on this theme with topics that will help attendees professionally and personally. More than 600 professionals from the collateral recovery and remarketing industries will gather in Dallas to participate in NARS 2014. The summit will focus on open and collaborative discussions to address and improve industry challenges.

NARS 2014 planning committee members include industry leaders from ARA and TFA and California Association of Licensed Repossessors (CALR), Illinois Recovery Association (IRA), Florida Alliance of Certified Asset Recovery Specialists (FLACARS), Rocky Mountain State Association (RMSA), Collateral Recovery Industry Resource (CRIR) and MasterFiles.
