Repo Man Shot and Killed by Police

crime_sceneRice, WA – Police report that an unnamed Repo Man opened fire on a responding Detective and was fatally shot during an attempted repossession in a remote area of eastern Washington State.

The Stevens County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that happened early Tuesday evening on the 25th in Rice, Wash.

Police are reporting that, a homeowner called 911 at about 6 p.m. to report someone banging on their door. Police now report that he was a Repo Man and it is believed that man may have been there to repossess a vehicle.

Inexplicably, the unnamed Repo Man allegedly fired a shotgun at the responding detective when he arrived, wounding him on his hand and ear. The detective promptly returned fire, killing the suspect.

The deputy was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was released several hours later.

More information about the incident is expected to be released Wednesday.

  1. Brendon Keith Wright, 41 yrs old. Neighbors called the sheriffs department saying he was trying to break down the door. Highly doubtful he was there to repossess anything other than a drug debt in my opinion.
