Repo Man Repo’s Elderly Couples Car, then Pays it off

il_repo_fordRed Bud, IL – 21 November 2016 – When the repo man showed up, “Baby” lost her ride.

The little Pomeranian dog loved to curl up on 82-year-old Stanford Kipping’s lap when he and his wife Patty, 70, went for a drive. But in recent months a sharp increase in the cost of prescription medicine and other bills were more than a match for the couple’s fixed incomes. With several $95 a month car payments left unpaid on their 1998 Buick, the repo man, Jim Ford of Belleville, stopped his tow truck in front of their house.

North American Repossessors Summit Auction Brings Over $9600 In Donations To The RABF!

rabf2The Recovery Agents Benefit Fund attended NARS (the North American Repossessors Summit) in Dallas held last week. Proceeds from the auction hosted on Friday night resulted in just over $8600.00 being donated to the fund from just 17 items. Another $990 in cash donations and raffle ticket sales for the Dynamic Slide In unit brings the total collected from the event to $9605.00.

Mother Calls Repo Workers “Like Angels”

xmas_tow_trkOccasionally, I hear a story of giving from someone in the industry that just makes me remember how great so many of you in the repossession industry are. This time, it’s the folks at Relentless Recovery of Ohio.

Ten-year-old Ania answered the knock at her door in Garfield Heights. Her mom was on the couch, immobilized by illness.

It was the repo man.

”I thought, ‘This is not good,’ ” said Ania’s mom, Diana Parks, who’d had a lot of bad moments this year.

In May, she learned that she has a pituitary tumor. She had seizures and difficulty walking, plus other problems doctors are trying to diagnose.

rabf2Your donations to the Recovery Agents Benefit Fund allows us to have funds available to assist our brothers and sisters in the repossession industry during what could be the one of the most difficult times they have had to face. Your support shows them they don’t have to go through it alone.

The Recovery Agents Benefit Fund will be drawing a winning ticket for the Slide-In Wheel Lift Unit donated by Anthony Gentile and Dynamic Manufacturing at the 2015 CALR convention this October.

Winner does not need to be present to win and we still have tickets to sell! We started off the year with 3000 raffle tickets to sale and to date we’ve sold 910. That means there’s still 2090 chances to win!
