Sioux City, IA – January 23, 2013 – A Sioux City man is facing charges for causing thousands of dollars damage to a tow truck after he allegedly drove it off of the wheel lift in December.
Mark Watkins, 46, is being charged with a felony charge of second-degree criminal mischief after the events of December 6, 2012 when he discovered an employee of .Phantom Recovery repossessing his van.
The van had allegedly already been lifted two feet in the air when Watkins jumped behind the wheel, started the van and drove it off the lift hitting the tire of the tow truck as he fled the scene.
Phantom Recovery reported to police that the tow truck sustained $5,563 damage.
