Augusta, GA – April 10, 2013 – A stolen Repo truck, a gun toting pedestrian and a pregnant motorist heading to the park all collided in Augusta on Wednesday.
Richmond County deputies said it began before noon when an unidentified man driving a Hide and Seek repo truck stolen from North Augusta hit a Cadillac stopped at the intersection of Twiggs and Nicholas streets.
After arriving they learned the truck had been stolen from North Augusta.
Investigators say the pedestrian knew the truck was stolen and tried to stop the driver and was injured in the leg.
Shortly after that, deputies say, an unknown type of gun fired shots towards the driver of the tow truck.
The driver then fled the scene, hitting several cars and coming to a stop on D’Antignac Street.
Deputies say the driver was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the back. The pedestrian was also taken to treat the leg injury.
Investigators are still talking with the driver and pedestrian.
Good deal. I bet the pedistrian gets the short end of the stick on this too. I have no sympathy for the thief
