HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – Hartsville Police arrested two people after someone reportedly chased and fired a shotgun at a repo truck.
Officers charged John Wesly Graham, 49, of Hartsville with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Penny Ann Boyce, 54, of Hartsville was charged with accessory before the fact to a felony.
According to a police report, officers were called to the area of 14th Street around 1:30 a.m. Friday. The driver of the truck alleged a man had shot at them. Investigators say the tow truck appeared to have pellet shots on the front and the hood.
Hartsville Police stopped Boyce and Graham on Barefoot Street and ordered the two out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Both were taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle the two were in led to the discovery of a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun. Police say three shells were found in the gun and one discharged shell on the passenger seat.
Boyce was released from the Darlington County Detention Center on bond. Graham remains in custody.
