Article Retraction: “Nevada Extends Collection Agency and Repossession Moratorium until June 30”

On June 2, 2020, CUCollector posted an article titled “Nevada Extends Collection Agency and Repossession Moratorium until June 30.” There was initially some confusion in the State of Nevada in regards to the application of the state’s collections moratorium announced on March 20, 2020 and it’s pertinence to repossession agencies. Repossession industry professionals reached out to their regulating body, the Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board, and were advised by Kevin Ingram, the Executive Director. Ingram informed at that time, that there had been no determination made regarding any formal action by the Board to involve itself in the matter.

As a matter of caution for public and employee safety, responsible and reputable repossession companies in Nevada stopped all involuntary repossession activity.

We would like to thank Mark Zane of “Zane Investigations” and Peggy Chapman of “Speedy Recovery, Inc.” for illuminating this error and assisting in clarification.

Neither at the time of publishing of the aforementioned article or now, has any clarification on this matter been published by the state. CUCollector had made the wrongful assumption on the applicability of the Governors Emergency Directive and sincerely apologizes for any confusion or negative impact caused by the article.
