Wichita Police received a 911 call from an injured Repo Man shortly before 8pm, reporting that he’d been shot and was driving himself to the hospital.
The unidentified man arrived in his tow truck with a car in tow, at Via Christi-St. Francis hospital a shortly afterward. His current condition is not yet known.
Police recovered shell casings in the parking lot of a nearby carwash at Central and Washington. No arrests have been made, but police are still investigating.
The Repo Man reported that a driver of a 2003 or 2004 Pontiac Bonneville with a 60-day license tag car pulled out a gun and fired three shots. Two of the shots hit the victim, once in the arm and once in the lower back.
The injured Repo Man claims to work as an independent contractor. Police report that the evidence shows that the suspect fired at the passenger side of the tow truck. One bullet went through the truck door and another struck a window
The suspect is described as a black man in his 20’s, wearing all black clothing and a red and black ball cap.
