Arcadia, CA – May 30, 2014 – An argument between a borrower and a Repo Man quickly escalated into pushing and shoving until finally culminating in a blast to the face of the agent with pepper spray.
Fiawna Jones, 27, of Temple City was arrested on suspicion of illegal use of pepper spray, a felony, shortly after 1:15 p.m. following an incident at a commercial parking lot at Colorado Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue according to police. Also arrested, cited and released with a court date was her boyfriend, 47-year-old Raul Chavez, who was accused of battery for allegedly shoving the repossession agent.
According to police records, the agent arrived to repossess an Acura when Chavez reportedly became involved in an argument with him, which escalated to pushing and shoving.
Jones then allegedly pulled out a canister of pepper spray and sprayed it into the repossession agent’s face before fleeing the scene in a different car. The agent received first-aid at the scene, but was not taken to a hospital, and finished repossessing the car.
Police found Jones driving nearby and placed her under arrest. She was being held pending the posting of $20,000.
