Two Repo Men Allegedly Forced to Their Knees at Gunpoint

gun_dwn_blk_whtNashville, TN – 2 August, 2016 – A man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot two men who attempted to repossess his car.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, the victim and a co-worker got a ping from a GPS to a car due for repossession on McGavock Pike and Music Valley Drive.

As they were hooking up the vehicle to the tow truck, a suspect – identified as 48-year-old George Earl Whobrey – who had been asleep in the backseat, suddenly woke up.

Police said he got out, went to the trunk and reached inside for what appeared to be a weapon.

Both hands were inside a glove, when he pressed it to the victim’s head and allegedly said, β€œyou’re going to die tonight mother [expletive].

Authorities said Whobrey forced both men to their knees and said, β€œI’m going to blow your brains out.” From there, he left the scene.

He was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
