Press Release

Allied Finance Adjusters and Recovery Specialist Insurance Group are just coming off of a fantastic, first ever joint annual convention April 17-19, where over 400 repossessors came together in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to network, see what’s new in the industry, be entertained and most importantly learn from highly talented speakers and collaborate with each other about the issues facing the industry.  The meeting was open to anyone who wanted to attend and saw great interest from repossessors who weren’t members of either group…yet, but wanted to see what this combined meeting had to offer.  Allied and RSIG are excited about the interest and the extremely positive feedback we’ve received.

The event was held April 17 – 19 at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale’s inner coastal.  The groups featured a CFPB Compliance Course on Wednesday, followed with presentations on Thursday on New Laws and Case Law, Servicing Your Client, Non-Verbal Communication by Joe Navarro and The Affordable Care Act by Sean McGuire of E.D. Bellis HealthCare Consultants.  Friday proved very interesting with a discussion led by Zurich Insurance Company on Contractual Liability vs. Contractual Obligations that had everyone in the room thinking about what they’re signing; as well as presentations on the latest on Internet Profiling by Michele Stuart of JAG Investigations who is always a group favorite.

Attendees at the conference showed their strong support for the RABF at the event and were able to raise over $14,000.  Our thanks again to Anthony Gentile of Dynamic Manufacturing for again donating a Slide-In Unit for the 2013 RABF Raffle.  Tickets for this unit will be available at most repossession industry events and the winner will be drawn at the 2013 CALR convention that is usually the last event of the repossession trade show year generally held in the fall.

Here are just a few of the positive comments we’ve received about the event:

  • “One of the best conventions I’ve ever attended”
  • “The show was one of the top three I have ever been two regardless of industry I hope you all do a joint show again it added great value over all and the presentations by everyone were spot on!”
  • When asked what they enjoyed most about the convention… “The Speakers and ability of both groups to work together, working towards unity.”  Another attendee said, “Open atmosphere, knowledgeable speakers. No disappointments here!”
  • When asked would you attend another joint AFA/RSIG convention, one attendees response said it all, “Absolutely, professionally executed”
