Camper Repo Leads to Ex-Con with a Knife

knife_in_hndAlbuquerque, NM – July 15, 2014 – An unnamed Repo Man was caught by surprise as he attempted to repossess a camper trailer.

According to police, Ex-Convict John Montano, 42, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an unnamed Repo Man attempted to repossess a trailer on his sisters property.

Montano allegedly came after the Repo Man with a knife and chased him back to his truck, kicking him in the back once.

When police arrived, the suspect refused to come out. Police attempted to reach him by calling him multiple times and used a flash bang in his front yard.

A woman who said she was Montano’s sister said the camper was hers, and said her brother got in a fight with the Repo Man.

“I just don’t want them to hurt him,” she said outside a nearby shopping mall Tuesday.

A few SWAT team members worked the scene, though the whole team has not been called out yet, Tixier said.

A mobile command center was then set up, and Montano was arrested without incident.

Montano has a violent history and has served time in the state penitentiary. He will be facing an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
