FL Repo Man Beaten

Myrtle Beach, FL – June 6, 2012 – Police are on the look-out for three men suspected of assaulting a Repo Man, who had attempted to repossess a vehicle late Tuesday.

According to police, the unidentified 25-year-old Repo Man reported to officers that he was repossessing a 2000 Monte Carlo when a vehicle drove up behind him and three men got out about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on the 300 block of 18th Ave. S.

The victim said that one man hit him with something while another man punched him in the face, according to the report. The victim suffered a cut to his nose and his mouth was bleeding when EMS arrived and took him to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was treated and later released.

The Repo Man said that he had spotted the vehicle parked at a beachwear store in the area of 17th Avenue South and Kings Highway and it matched a vehicle already assigned to him for repossession

After verifying the vehicle identification numbers and his paperwork, the victim found the keys inside the vehicle which he drove to the location where the assault occurred.

The victim and a co-driver attempted to tell the suspects that they were repossessing the vehicle but the suspects took the vehicle and drove away.

Police went to the last known address listed for the vehicle, but were not able to find it.
