Mere hours remain to the end of a year that has brought upon this world so much death, destruction and despair. Despite all of this, we stand, alive and resilient in the face of the pestilence which has taken far too many. While so many and so much has been lost, our presence in the final hours of this year pays testament to the enduring strength of the human soul. The tenacity and character that we have been forced to endure will carry with us forever more.
