“TransUnion is an out-of-control repeat offender that believes it is above the law,” said CFPB Director Rohit Chopra.
On Tuesday April 12th, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) took aim at credit reporting provider TransUnion over what they claim are continued unlawful behaviors related to their credit scores and other credit-related products. This latest lawsuit is their second action against TransUnion and a pattern of threats against the entire credit reporting industry is quickly evolving as illustrated by their January 2022 allegations of wrongdoing.
