Davie, FL – February 10-26 – Authorities in South Florida have charged a husband and wife who ran a luxury car dealership with operating an alleged title fraud scheme involving vehicles worth more than half a million dollars.
Michael Anthony Lucci, 32, and Emily Marie Lucci, 30, owned Luxury Auto Source in Davie. According to investigators, the couple allegedly secured rebuilt titles for damaged vehicles by submitting fake or altered repair invoices to state officials, then sold the cars as legally titled.

The case began when Florida Highway Patrol examined paperwork for a 2020 Nissan GT-R. A submitted invoice claimed over $18,000 in repairs, but the actual bill was around $1,200. The car was later listed for $94,500, which triggered a wider investigation.
Authorities identified eight additional vehicles with allegedly fraudulent rebuilt titles. The list included:
- a 2022 Porsche 911 priced at $187,900,
- a 2017 Bentley at $63,900,
- a 2020 Toyota Supra for $36,900,
- a 2018 BMW M3 at $37,900,
- a 2023 Cadillac Escalade listed for $56,900,
- and a 2022 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat at $52,900.
The Charger Hellcat raised extra red flags: it had multiple VINs, and its engine was linked to a vehicle stolen in North Carolina. All nine cars have been declared contraband under Florida law.
Officials cautioned that buyers who purchased vehicles from the dealership, even unknowingly, could face seizure and loss of the cars. It is unknown who many lenders may have been affected by this.
Michael Lucci was arrested at the dealership; Emily Lucci turned herself in later. The couple faces dozens of charges, including false statements in bills of sale, perjury, forging documents, possession of counterfeit titles, organized fraud, and racketeering.
Both appeared in court and were released on $30,000 bond each while the case continues.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
